Moreover, the <strong>International Energy Agency<\/strong> (IEA) estimates that, by <strong>2025<\/strong>, there will be around <strong>50 million electric vehicles<\/strong> on the roads, in comparison to the current 2.5 million electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>This number will increase to 300 million in 2040, according to a study published by IEA regarding the mobility of <strong>electric vehicles<\/strong>. Therefore, the importance of the electric vehicle will rise to a value of around 1<strong>5% of the total number of cars in the world.<\/strong> This will double to 2 billion cars by 2040.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Within the context of the <strong>Spanish economy<\/strong> arising from the Covid-19 crisis, the <strong>Government<\/strong> has announced a <strong>financial aid plan<\/strong> for the automotive industry that amounts to a total of <strong>3,750 million euros<\/strong> distributed between 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Within this budget, the largest amount will be allocated to<strong> research and development (R&amp;D&amp;I)<\/strong> activities, reaching an expected total of <strong>415 million euros<\/strong> that will undoubtedly accelerate the sustainable development of the automotive sector in Spain. It should be noted that 25 million of this amount is to be allocated for innovation initiatives related to <strong>hydrogen<\/strong>, and 30 million euros will be allocated to industrial innovation projects in sustainable mobility (this includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/movilidadelectrica.com\/en-marcha-el-plan-moves-proyectos-singulares-como-quien-y-cuando-pedir-las-ayudas\/\">Singular Moves Plan<\/a>)[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;1988&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Similarly, a total of <strong>100 million euros<\/strong> will be exclusively allocated for the public procurement of innovation for <strong>mobility infrastructures.<\/strong> Another point that will certainly promote the development of charging infrastructures throughout the country, reinforcing the current situation with regard to the <strong>possibilities and locations for charging electric vehicles<\/strong>.
